Objectives the Methow Core Area Action Plan Has Several Objectives That Support Bull Trout Recovery Including 1 Develop a Comprehensive, Reach Based Action Plan to Support Identification of Prioritized Restoration Projects and Management Actions That Will Address Threats and Limiting Factors to Benefit Bull Trout Recovery This Plan Will Include Up to Date Information on Local Population Demographics I E Distribution, Abundance I E Redd Counts , Life History Composition, and Genetics , Habitat Condition I E Stream Survey Data, Habitat Condition Classification, Cold Water Refugia Identification Including a Detailed, Reach Based Summary of Habitat Limiting Factors and Threats, Including Non Native Species Assessments Brook Trout Distribution , and Will Include Core Area and Reach Specific Actions to Address These Identifying and Addressing Threats Is Critical to, and Foundational for, Recovery of This Species 2 Develop a Web Based Bull Trout Information Portal for the Methow Core Area Information Sharing Is a Critical Link in Effective Recovery Coordination Across Diverse Stakeholders and This Interactive, Web Based Framework Will Allow Access to a Variety of Bull Trout Specific Information, Such as Distribution, Reach Based Habitat Information, and Water Temperature Data This Portal Will Also Contain an on Line Library Containing Methow and Bull Trout Specific Reports and Literature We Will Reach Out to Link to Ongoing Efforts That the Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board and Other Entities So as Not to Duplicate Processes We Expect to Develop Key Linkages That Help to Inform and Provide Information Between the Bull Trout and the Salmon Recovery Efforts 3 Assist With Coordination of the Upper Columbia Bull Trout Working Group Ucbtwg Support Usfws in Re Convening the Bull Trout Working Group to Coordinate Bull Trout Recovery Planning and Implementation in the Methow Core Area and Across Other Core Areas in the Upper Mid Columbia Region This Group Will Directly Contribute to the Development of the Methow Core Area Action Plan Local Coordination and Information Sharing Is One of the Most Effective Means to Obtain Tangible Progress Towards Recovery and the Ucbtwg Has the Potential to Be a Strong Advocate for Developing, Coordinating, and Implementing Regional Bull Trout Recovery
