Integrated Pest Management Groundwork Denver Youth Crew Would Be Utilized to Provide Mechanical and Chemical Weed Control Efforts Designed to Eradicate or Reduce Five State Listed Priority Invasive Weed Species Found at Rmanwrc, Houndstongue (cynoglossum Officinale), Canada Thistle (cirsium Arvense), Musk Thistle (carduus Nutans), Scotch Thistle (onopordum Acanthium), and Common Mullein (verbascum Thapsus). This Project Will Focus on Areas of the Complex Where Large Scale Mechanical or Broadcast Herbicide Application Is Not Possible or Preferred, Including Along Old Irrigation Canals and Ditches, Wetlands, and Treed Areas. Trail Construction/maintenance GWD Hand Crew Would Be Utilized to Repair Refuge Trails by Installing Waterbars Where Needed, Adding Crusher Fines and Leveling, and Removing Encroaching Vegetation. in Addition to Trail Maintenance the Crew Would Be Responsible for Constructing a New Trail That Leads From a New Parking Area to Upper Derby Lake.
