This Eda Investment Will Provide State-of-the-art Equipment to a Newly Constructed 350,000-SQUARE-FOOT Biomedical Campus in Wichita, Kansas, for the Audiology Medical Practitioner Training Programs at Wichita State University (wsu). Wsu Will Use the Equipment to Further Train and Develop a Skilled Workforce in the Audiology and Speech-language Pathology Fields. Wsu Estimates More Than 630 Students Will Graduate During the Next Nine Years From Programs Using the Equipment Procured Through This Project. in Addition, Employers Have Estimated Creating 50 Jobs by Hiring From the Program. Ultimately, This Project Will Increase Quality Jobs in the Region as Well as Distressed Populations? Access to Audiology and Speech-language Pathology Healthcare. This Project Was Made Possible by the Regional Planning Efforts Led by the South Central Kansas Economic Development District. Eda Funds the South Central Kansas Edd to Bring Together the Public and Private Sectors to Create an Economic Development Roadmap to Strengthen the Regional Economy, Support Private Capital Investment and Create Jobs.
