In Partnership With Mitchell School District 17-2 and the South Dakota Board of Technical Education, This Eda Investment Will Construct a Training Facility on the Mitchell Technical College Campus to Train South Dakota Students to Operate Equipment Associated With Underground Electrical and Cabling Infrastructure. the Construction of the Center Will Allow Training to Occur Year-round and Develop the Workforce for a High-demand Field. Local Electrical Cooperatives Anticipate Hiring 75 Positions Over the Next 9 Years With Students That Graduate From the Training Program.this Project Was Made Possible by the Regional Planning Efforts Led by Planning and Development District Iii in South Dakota. Eda Funds District Iii to Bring Together the Public and Private Sectors to Create an Economic Development Roadmap to Strengthen the Regional Economy, Support Private Capital Investment and Create Jobs.
