This $400,000 Eda Grant to the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission Will Fund a Disaster Recovery Coordinate and Other Recovery Efforts to Assist Communities Within the Region Impacted by Multiple Disasters Since 2021, Including Severe Winter Storms in February 2021, a Feedlot Explosion in Castro County in April 2023, the Flooding in Deaf Smith, Potter and Randall Counties in May/june 2023, the EF-3 Tornado That Struck the City of Perryton in June 2023, and the Wildfire Complex That Broke Out in February 2024 Affecting Over 11 Counties. the Efforts Will Help the Communities Mitigate the Impacts of the Devastating Tornadoes and Become More Resilient to Future Economic Disruptions.
