Txcpa/seco Will Implement Its Workforce Development Plan Through Subcontracting With an Experienced Implementer. the Implementer Will Have at Least 5 Years’ Experience as a Building Performance Institute (BPI) Test Center and Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Training Provider and Will Have Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) Accreditation. the Program Will Train 2,240 Workers (1,120 Per Installment) Including 896 Workers From Underserved or Underrepresented Populations. Collaborating With Experienced Providers and Leveraging Technology Helps Reduce the Cost of Training for Prospective and Current Contractors While Ensuring They Receive High Quality Industry-standard Testing and Certification Through the State’s Training Program. This Plan Also Involves Building Long-lasting Partnerships With Community-based Organizations That Already Have Institutionalized Trust and Strong Ties to Low-income, Veteran, and Other Individuals From Underserved And/or Disadvantaged Backgrounds.
