The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Plans to Support Existing Training Programs for New and Existing Hvac Mechanics to Improve Their Knowledge and Ability to Install Heat Pumps. the State Plans to Issue an RFP and Contract Out the Administration of the Program. They Will Work With Numerous Partners Such as Minority-serving Institutions, Technical and Vocational Schools, Two-year Institutions, and High Schools to Expand the Pipeline of Talent Entering Electrification Careers. They Will Provide Valuable Wrap-around Services and Work With State Offices to Help Ensure That Disadvantaged Communities Benefit From the Programs.
