The Purpose of This Project Is to Design an Integrated Methane Monitoring Platform Comprising Satellites, Aircraft, Near-surface Drones, Ground-level Mobile Platforms, and Fenceline Stationary Networks for Regional and Facility-level Emissions Monitoring. Planned Activities Will Include Evaluating Previously Deployed Platforms; Summarizing Operator Knowledge and Best Practices; Utilizing Bottom-up, Top-down, and Bridge Technologies in a Real-world Application; and Summarizing Data Management and Assessment Practices. Expected Deliverables and Outcomes Will Encompass Literature and Monitoring Networks, Field Campaigns, Data Assessment, and a Methane Monitoring Platform Implementation Plan. the Platform Design Plan Will Be Intended for Use by the Department of Energy (DOE) and Other Agency Stakeholders for Long-term Strategic Planning and Guide the Methane Monitoring and Emissions Community to Better Understand Methane Emissions From Sources and Regions Across the Nation.
