High Power, Ultra-low Emissions HD H2 Engine This Project Aims to Develop a Hydrogen (H2) Fueled Heavy-duty (HD) Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Which Will Enable High Specific Power (>100% Diesel Engine Power), High Efficiency (parity With Diesel Ice Baseline; =44%), and Ultra-low Emissions (<0.04 G/KWH NRTC Nox). This Will Be Done by Modifying an Existing Off-road Diesel Ice Platform for H2 Combustion Using a Suite of Engine Components That Into Account the Material Compatibility, Durability, Water Management, Thermal Management, and Sealing Requirements of H2 Systems.
