The Purpose of the National Community Action Partnership Weatherization Infrastructure Act Local Response Project (“ncap LRP”) Is to Strengthen Implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (bil)/ Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) in Three Ways: 1) Link Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Subgrantees and Services to the Expanded Investments in Clean Energy, Clean Transportation and Healthy Housing in Disadvantaged Communities Supported by the Bil/iija; 2) Support the Rapid Growth in Wap Production Included in the Bil/iija as Well as and the Corresponding Workforce Development That Is Required to Meet These Investments; and 3) Partner With Public and Private Initiatives Seeking to Ensure That Their Investments Benefit the Most Disadvantaged Communities and People. This Project Will Cover Four Years From 2023 Through 2026. the Project Team Will Provide Bil/iija Information and Assistance to the Wap Subgrantee Network Through National Conference Workshops, Trainings, Webinars, Newsletters, Reports, Peer Exchanges and Individual Assistance. Ncap LRP Will Ensure the U.s. Department of Energy (DOE) Is Apprised of Developments at the Wap Subgrantee Level That Affect Local Capacity to Spend Bil/iija Funds and Highlight Barriers and Challenges for Discussion. It Will Also Showcase Implementation Successes and Share Learning in Real Time.
