The Primary Project Objective Is to Enhance the Shelter-in-place Energy Resilience of Uscg Tracen Petaluma by Installing On-site Electric Generation and Storage Assets, Ensuring Reliability of the Site’s Electrical Distribution System, and Implementing a Micro-grid With Control System That Will Allow the Tracen to Sustain Its Mission in the Event of a Sustained Electric Utility Outage. the Secondary Objectives Include: • Maximize and Utilize Onsite, Clean, Renewable, Non-petroleum Logistics Reliant Sources • Reduce the Site’s Electric Load in Order to Optimize the Ability of On-site Generation and Storage Assets to Meet Demand • Identify Additional Energy Conservation and Savings Opportunities the Affect Grant Will Enable the Project to Increase the Capacity of the Proposed Battery Energy Storage System (bess), Which Will Increase the Capacity of Clean, Renewable, Non-petroleum Logistics Reliant Sources.
