The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Is Applying for $115633600 in FFY2022 Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula Program Funds for Replacement of the Bladensburg and Northern Bus Garages and Implementation of the Rail Station Revitalization Program. Wmatas Rail Station Revitalization Program Satisfies the 0.75% Requirement for Section 5307 Funds Being Spent Towards Safety Improvements. This Request Is Consistent With the Suballocation of Funds Agreed to Among the Three Recipients Within Urbanized Area (uza 8) for the District of Columbia Virginia and Maryland. Wmatas Split Letter Is Attached to This Application. These Funds Require a 20% Local Match in the Amount of $28908400. the Non-federal Share Will Be Provided by the District of Columbia the State of Maryland and Participating Jurisdictions in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This Application Will Be Amended in Future Fiscal Years to Support the Continuation of These Projects.
