To Support the Administrations Initiative to Develop a Sustainable Management Unit for the World Heritage Site of Nan Madol. the Funds Would Provide for Site Visits and Consultation by Key Representatives of Organizations That Have Established and Have Long Experience With Managing Protected Areas. Activities INCLUDE:1) Creation of Formal Procedures-including Legislation, Local Policy Directions and Guidelines on Coordination, and Implementation of a Protected Areas Management Unit for Pohnpei State Government. 2) Create a Database for the State of Pohnpei on External Resources Opportunities for Assistance in Managing Protected Areas.
