Application Purpose: the Norwalk Transit District Is Seeking $2 Million in Financial Assistance From the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the United States Department of Transportation Under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) 2021 Funds to Prevent Prepare for Respond to and Recover From the Coronavirus. the Funding Request Is From the Bridgeport/stamford CT Urbanized Area. the Fully Executed Bridgeport/stamford Urbanized Area Split Agreement Is Attached. the Requested Funds Will Be Used for the Following Activities in Continuing to Provide Transit Service to the Public During the COVID-19 Pandemic; Activities Performed: the Activities to Be Performed Are Operating in Nature as the Funds Will Be Used for All Operating Activities (net Fare Revenues) Incurred January 20 2020 Forward for NTD Ada Paratransit Fixed-route Microtransit Commuter Shuttle and Other on Demand-services Including Administrative Costs and Expenses Inclusive of Payroll. Operating Expenses May Include Costs Necessary to Operate Maintain and Manage a Public Transportation System Including Payroll Costs Fuel Personal Protective Equipment (masks Gloves Face Shields) Cleaning Supplies. Payroll Costs Includes Driver Retainage Referrals an Increase in Pay in Regards to the New Collective Bargaining Contract (CBC) and Other Contracts and Other Morale Building Expenses to Maintain the Required Workforce Necessary for Maintaining Our Operations.; Expected Outcomes: the Expected Outcomes Will Provide for Continuing Transit Service to the Public During the COVID-19 Pandemic.; Intended Beneficiaries: Intended Beneficiaries Are Public Transit Users.; Subrecipient Activities: There Will Be No Subrecipient Activity.
