Budget Revision CT-2019-004-01 the Acquisition of a Microtransit On-demand System That Will Allow for on Demand Transit Services in a Variety of Applications Ranging From First and Last Mile Approach as a Transportation Solution to Low Areas of Productivity and Solution to Underserved Areas. We Will Continue to Purchase Application Services Tablets Modems and Wifi Services That Are Necessary to Run the Applications. Our Current Partner Is via Mobility Which Was Awarded Under a Competitive Bid. the Long-term Goal Is to Continue to Integrate All Services Through Continuing Contract Support.this Project Will No Longer Be Funded Through a Federal Grant as the Motorola Radio System Did Not Meet Buy America Requirements. the State of CT Department of Transportation Will Fund the Radio Replacement at 100%. After Assessment of Grant Activities Further Grant Modifications Will Be Finalized. at This Time a Budget Revision Is Requested to Move $220000 in Federal Funds to the Miscellaneous Support Line Item for Ongoing Microtransit Activities.the Revision Also Looks to Extend the Period of Performance Date From September 30 2024 to July 30 2029 to Ensure Time Adequate Project Identification and Implementation Due to the Inability to Spend the Funds on the Radio Project Which Was Originally Identified.due to Buy America Compliance. Norwalk Transit District Is Requesting $1560000 in FY18 5307 Funds for a Total Grant in the Amount of $1950000.00. the Urbanized Area Is Bridgeport-stamford Ct-ny. Activities to Be Funded Are: -radio System Replacement -misc. Support Equipment and Administrative Capital/ Software to Support Microtransit Operations.the State of CT Will Provide the Required Local Match for This Grant and a Copy of Their Support Letter Is Attached. Activities Are Covered in the Connecticut 2018 Stip.
