Community Project Funding/congressionally Directed Spending - Construction - This Project Is Intended to Support the Enhancement and Expansion of Psychology Teaching and Research Spaces at Bryant University. Specifically, Funds Will Support Bryant University’s Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, Providing a State-of-the-art Psychotherapy Training Suite, Child Development Teaching and Research Lab, as Well as Dedicated Instructional and Research Space for Psychophysiology, Cognitive, and Social Psychology. Advancement of the Psychology Undergraduate Program and Development of the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology Are Critical Pieces of Bryant University’s Commitment to the Expansion of Its School of Health and Behavioral Sciences, Which Is Dedicated to Training the Next Generation of Healthcare Leaders and Enhancing and Diversifying the Healthcare Workforce. This Project Will Expand the Current Psychology Labs From Approximately 900 Square Feet to Just Over 4000 Square Feet, Providing Ample Space to Support Its Undergraduate and New Graduate Program. the Enhanced and Expanded Space Will Also Aid in the Recruitment of Prospective Students and Faculty. the Impact of the Funded Project Is Far Reaching, as There Is Critical Need for Highly Trained Behavioral Health Professionals to Address the Nation’s Current Mental Health Crisis.
