Community Project Funding/congressionally Directed Spending - Construction - Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, Located in Modesto, California (CA-010) Is Seeking Hrsa Congressional Directed Spending (CDS) Funding to Partner With San Joaquin County and Merced County on a Joint Initiative to Address the Significant Shortage of Mental Health Residential Treatment Facilities for Homeless Individuals Suffering From Mental Illness in the Region. the Three Counties Are Currently Conducting a Comprehensive Needs Assessment and Analysis. This Includes Conducting a Housing Needs Assessment to Identify Current Capacity and System Gaps, Focusing on Needs Around the Transitional Enhanced Board and Care Level. This Process Would Include an Assessment and Review of Each Counties' Current Budget Structure, Including Institution for Mental Diseases (imd), Administrative Costs and an Analysis of Opportunities to Reduce Administrative Costs Through Regional Administrative Infrastructure. Stanislaus County Is Asking for Support to Initiate This Work, Identify Possible Building Locations for the Enhanced Board and Care Facility, Conduct Site Surveys and Procure Initial Architectural Plans That Will Facilitate the in Depth Understanding of the Cost to Build Out This Proposed New Facility. the Three-county Region Will Identify and Retain Consultants to Design a Facility That Promotes Client Focused and Client Driven Recovery Principles While Using State of the Art Safety Standards to Reduce Ongoing Staffing Costs. This Work Will Conclude With the Building of a Facility That Will Be Shared by the Three Participating Counties.
