Will Renovate a Building at 208 Stetson Drive in Charlotte, NC to Expand Camino Health Center’s Capacity to Provide Bilingual Behavioral Health Services to Uninsured and Underinsured Individuals. Camino Health Center Provides a Range of Services to Any Persons in Need, But Our Bilingual Services (spanish and English) Attract a Served Population That Mainly Latino and Uninsured. Camino Health Center’s Behavioral Health Program, Camino Contigo, Is Currently Unable to Expand to Meet Increased Demand for Behavioral Health Services Due to a Lack of Space. This Project Will Address That Need for Additional Space, Allowing Camino Contigo to Expand Services and Improve Access to Bilingual Behavioral Healthcare for the Population Served. the Relocation and Expansion of Camino Contigo to This Building Has the Additional Advantage Facilitating the Collaborative Care Model Used at Camino Health Center. the Building at 208 Stetson Drive Is Large Enough to Accommodate an Expanded Camino Contigo and Camino Clinic, the Primary Care Arm of Camino Health Center. the Collaborative Care Model Relies on Close Collaboration Between Camino Contigo and Camino Clinic, and Co-location in One Building Will Facilitate This Collaboration.
