This Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Will Serve Up to 5,000 Oregonians in Rural Lane County Annually With Primary, Behavioral, and Dental Care. the Clinic Will Also Include a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Component, That Functions as a Health Care and Dental Care Training Site for South Lane School District and LCC Students. There Is an Urgent Need for Physical and Behavioral Health Care in South Lane County, Which Currently Does Not Have a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Community Health Center to Serve Individuals Who Are Uninsured or Underinsured. the Project Will Provide a Much Needed Service to This Population and Represents the Shared Vision of a Broad Coalition of Community Partners. South Lane Is Designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area for Primary Care and Dental Care by the Health Resources and Services Administration (hrsa). in Addition, the Geographic Area Served by the Slchc Includes Two of Oregon's Highest Need Primary Care Service Areas as Identified by the Oregon Office of Rural Health at Oregon Health & Science University. the Clinic Space Will Be Approximately 8,440 SQ/FT and Proceed in 2 Phases. Phase I Construction Is Expected to Begin August 5, 2022.
