Community Project Funding/congressionally Directed Spending - Construction - the Full Project Proposal Is to Develop a Recovery-to-work Ecosystem on Approximately 183 Acres of Vacant/under-utilized Land Currently Owned by the Pa Department of Corrections/sci Waymart. Phase 1 Will Construct Facilities and Develop Services for Drug & Alcohol Treatment and Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health Long-term Structured Residential, Crisis and Crisis Residential Care. Currently These Services Are Severely Lacking in the Northeastern Section (9 County Region) of the Commonwealth of Pa. the Services Created During Phase 1 Will Establish a Recovery Orientated System of Care, a Recovery Ecosystem That Will Not Only Address the Clinical Needs of the Individual, But Also Address Their Need for Safe Housing, Vocational Training, and Job Placement. Not Only Will This Service Delivery System Be Aligned With Best Practices to Achieve Successful Outcomes, It Will Also Develop Local Employment Opportunities for Professional Staff Needed for Service Delivery. the Recovery-to-work Project Directly Responds and Develops Non-traditional Workforce Training and Support for Those in Recovery Who Seek to Obtain and Maintain Employment, a Key Component and Requirement to Long-term Recovery. Financial Support for the Construction of Facilities for Phase 1 Will Provide an Affordable and Supported Operator and Provider System for the Delivery of Recovery Services. This Project Has Regional Support From Surrounding Commissioners as Well as the Department of Corrections, the Department of General Services and Our Federal and State Legislators.
