This Application Is to Request Section 5317 New Freedom Funds in the Amount of $740500 to Provide Pratransit Service Beyond What Is Requried by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ada). the Projects Scope of Work Consists of Operating Assistance to Provide New (as Defined in Section 5317 Under Safetea-lu) Paratransit Service Beyond What Is Required by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) To/from Origins/destinations Outside the Agencys Service Area Within Regions of Los Angeles County That Are Part of the Los Angeles-long Beach-anaheim (uza 2). the Paratransit Service Will Be Targeted to the Agencys Clients But Will Also Be Available to the General Public. the Federal Grant Will Support Three (3) Years of Service. the Total Project Cost Is $1481000. the Funding Request Consists of $740500 of Los Angeles County Share of Federal Fy 2012 New Freedom Program Funds Apportioned to Uza 2. the Agency Will Provide the Required 50% Local Funding Match of $740500 From Non-federal Sources. the Agency Will Provide the Service in Compliance With All Applicable Federal Rules Including the Ada and the Requirements for Equivalent Service in the Ada Regulations of the United States Department of Transportation. Access Services Also Provides Ada Complementary Paratransit Service on Behalf of All Fixed Route Bus Services in Los Angeles County. in Addition All Non-ada Demand Response Services in the Service Area Meet Ada Equivalent Service Requirements.
