Application Purpose: the Purpose of the Award Is to Provide Funding to Provide 2 Years of Preventive Maintenance for Caltrain to Assist With Systemwide Track Rehabilitation and Maintain State of Good Repair From July 1 2024 Through June 30 2026.; Activities Performed: Funds Will Cover the Cost to Perform Caltrain Systemwide State of Good Repair Including Track Rehabilitation Related Civil Improvements as Well as Communications and Signal State of Good Repair.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Allow the Continued Operation of the Service Maintain Safe and Reliable Levels of Service Address Growing Customer Needs Provide the Capability for Future Service Increases and Enhance Operational Flexibility.; Intended Beneficiaries: Population of the San Francisco Peninsula San Jose and Gilroy Service Area and Commuter Rail Riders. Caltrain Riders Will Continue to Experience Reliable Service With Safe and Improved Levels of Service and Enhanced Future Service Through Service Increases and Operational Flexibility Enhancements.; Subrecipient Activities: None.
