Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Construct a Hydrogen Fueling Station and Related Maintenance Support Infrastructure at Ccctas Existing Maintenance Facility at 2477 Arnold Industrial Way in Concord to Accommodate the Fueling of Heavy-duty Hydrogen Fuel-cell Electric Buses (fcebs).; Activities Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover Eligible Costs for Plans Specifications Engineering and Construction Including Acquisition and Installation of Hydrogen Refueling Equipment for Ccctas Existing Maintenance Facility at 2477 Arnold Industrial Way in Concord.; Expected Outcomes: the Hydrogen Fueling Station Will Initially Accommodate Up to 11 Hydrogen Fcebs and Can Be Expanded in the Future to Accommodate Up to 50 Fcebs in Preparation for the Agencys Conversion to Procuring All Zero-emission Buses by 2029. Ccctas Facility Will Also Accommodate Future Fleet Growth and Ensure Scalability of Clean-fuels Transition and Help Catalyze Broader Fceb Manufacturing and Uptake in California. Carbon (CO2) Emissions Will Be Reduced as Ccctas Existing Fleet of Diesel Heavy-duty Transit Buses Including Those Operating on the State Highway System Is Permanently Replaced at the End of Their Useful Life With a Mixed Fleet of Zero-emission Hydrogen Fcebs and Battery Electric Buses (bebs).; Intended Beneficiaries: the Project Will Support Both Choice/commute Riders to Promote Statewide Carbon-reduction Goals as Well as Focusing on Equity by Reducing Diesel Emissions in Impacted Communities Including Nearby Disadvantaged Communities in Martinez Concord Walnut Creek and Antioch California Served by Cccta.; Subrecipient Activities: None
