Application Purpose: the Project Will Construct a New Intermodal Transportation Center in Downtown Calexico Ca to Consolidate Public and Private Transportation Providers in One Facility. the Project Activities Include Right of Way Acquisition Construction and Construction Management.; Activities Performed: This Project Will Fund the Right of Way Acquisition and Construction Activities for a New Intermodal Transportation Center in the City of Calexicos Downtown and Will Consolidate Public and Private Transportation Providers Into One Facility.; Expected Outcomes: the Calexico Intermodal Transportation Center (calexico Itc) Will Provide a Single Transportation Center for Public and Private Transportation Providers in Downtown Calexico Ca a Historically Disadvantaged Area. the Facility Will Provide Various Amenities to the General Public Such as Shade Canopies Benches Trash Receptacles Lighting Security Cameras a Public Restroom Upgraded Ada Infrastructure and a Ticket Booth/customer Service Location Further Facilitating a Safer Environment for All Public Transportation Users.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Primary Beneficiaries Are the General Public Public Transportation Users and the City of Calexico. the Project Will Also Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Air Pollution by Incorporating Zero Emission Technology. the Project Is Also Anticipated to Expand Opportunities to Affordable and Senior Housing Promote Active Transportation Expand Opportunities to Employment Education Health and Commerce and Create Dozens of Construction Jobs.; Subrecipient Activities: None
