Application Purpose: a Budget Revision Was Created to Updated the Period of Performance End Date to December 31 2026.THIS Project Will Develop a Demonstration Software Solution That Will Facilitate Multi-agency Paratransit Trip Booking Across Jurisdictions.; Activities Performed: the Metropolitan Transportation Commission Will Use the Funding to Demonstrate a Middleware Paratransit Trip Booking Service. Funding Will Be Used for the Development and Demonstration of the Middleware Software Apis for User Facing Applications and Interfaces to Paratransit Service Provider Booking Systems. MTC Will Work With Contractors to Deliver the Project. MTC Will Allocate Necessary Staff Time to Oversee and Coordinate All Activities of the Project Including Coordination With Paratransit Agencies and Other Stakeholders Managing the Development of the Software Review Submittals and Provide Guidance to Contractors Involved.; Expected Outcomes: the Developed Multi-agency Paratransit Trip Booking Middleware Software Will Allow for an Easier Booking Process for Paratransit Trips That Span Across Multiple Service Providers Improved Business Processes for Multi-agency Paratransit Trips and Discovery of Paratransit Service Availability in the Regional 511 Data Services. With the Middleware Software Successfully Demonstrated in the Selected Corridor There Would Be the Potential for Expansion Across the San Francisco Bay Area Region Through Gradual Integration of Additional Paratransit Services. This Would Allow MTC to Enhance the System With Additional Features Such as Integration With the Regional Eligibility Database. Successful Demonstration of This Program Will Likely Encourage Adoption of a Similar Approach to Multi-agency Paratransit Trip Booking in Other Geographic Regions in the United States Since the System Will Be Built Using Open-source Technology.; Intended Beneficiaries: : Initially the Intended Beneficiaries of the Project Will Be Paratransit Service Providers and Paratransit Users Along San Francisco East Bay Corridor(s) Serving Equity Priority Communities. Upon Successful Demonstration of the Project the System Could Be Extended to Include Other Paratransit Service Providers in the Entire Nine-county San Francisco Bay Area Region. Operational Efficiencies Gained From the Proposed System Will Ultimately Allow for Better Paratransit Customer Service.; Subrecipient Activities: Paratransit Service Providers Along San Francisco East Bay Corridor(s) Serving Equity Priority Communities Will Be MTCS Partners in This Project. the Demonstration of the System Will Be Achieved Through Collaborative Efforts With These Agencies. Other Paratransit Providers in the Region Will Also Be Informed About the Project Progress.
