This Application Is to Request Fhwa Cmaq Funds in the Amount of $1213000.THIS Application Is to Request Fhwa RSTP Funds in the Amount of $598000.PURPOSE: the Purpose of the Award Is to Provide Operating Funds to Increase the Service Frequency on Yolobus Route 42 and Capital Funds to Re-tank Nine Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Busesactivities to Be Performed: Funds for the Route 42 Project Will Cover Operating Expenses Such as Fuel Direct Labor Materials Items Having a Useful Life of Less Than One Year and Overhead Expenses. Funds for the CNG Bus Re-tanking Project Will Cover the Cost of the Tank Replacements Including the Equipment and Installation Costs.expected Outcomes: Funding Will Allow for Increased Service Frequencies on the Route 42 and Will Enable the Nine CNG Buses to Perform to the End of the Original Useful Life of the Vehicles.intended Beneficiaries: the Population of the Yctd Service Area and Area Transit Riders.subrecipient Activities: None.overall Grant Fundingtotal Federal Funds: $1811000TOTAL Local Match: $1290500TOTAL Eligible Project Cost: $3101500YCTD Is Hereby Submitting This Grant Application in Support of the Following PROJECTS:1) Route 42 Increased Service Frequencythis Grant Applies $1213000 in Fhwa Cmaq Funds (transferred to Fta Section 5307) for Route 42 Operating Assistance Including Fuel Direct Labor Items Having a Useful Life of Less Than One Year and Overhead Expenses for the Time Period Between Approximately 9/1/22 and 8/31/25. Our Estimated Operating Budget as Defined by the NTD Reporting System for Approximately 9/1/22 and 8/31/25 Is $2426000. This Budget Reflects Just the Incremental Cost of Increasing the Route 42A/42B Service Frequency From 60 Minutes to 30 Minutes During Peak Hours Seven Days Per Week for a Three-year Period (i.e. Just the Cmaq-eligible Budget/costs). 2) Re-tanking Nine (9) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Busesthis Grant Applies $598000 in Fhwa RSTP Funds (transferred to Fta Section 5307) for the Re-tanking of Nine (9) 40-FOOT CNG Transit Buses (2008 Orion) Which Have CNG Tanks That Are Due to Expire in Between July and December 2022. This Work Is Considered an Overhaul Because It Is a Planned and Concentrated Preventive Maintenance Activity Intended to Enable the Vehicle to Perform to the End of the Original Useful Life. Rolling Stock Overhauls Are an Eligible Capital Expense as Preventive Maintenance.
