Monterey-salinas Transit (MST) Is Requesting Federal Funds in the Amount of $14569886 From the Following Uzas: Salinas Uza (62580) Will Fund $2898382SEASIDE-MONTEREY Uza (61930) Will Fund $11671504ACTIVITIES to Be Performed: the Funds Will Be Used for Fixed Route Service Operating From 3/1/20 Through 12/31/24. MSTS Fixed Route Is Comprised of Over 100 Full Sized Uses That Include 35- and 40-FOOT Suburban Coaches 45-FOOT Commuter Coaches 28-FOOT Trolley Style Buses and 23-FOOT Medium Buses. Expected Outcomes: the Project Would Have a Start Date of 3/1/20 and an Ending Date of 12/31/24. Additional Funding for Operations During This Period Is Included in Cares Act Grant CA-2020-112 and Crrsaa Grant CA-2021-033. Additional Funding Is Needed as Available Funding Is Insufficient to Cover Eligible Operating Expenses Within the Period.this Application Does Not Include Funds for Research And/or Development Activities. Indirect Costs Will Not Be Applied to This Application and Its Scope of Work. There Is No Required Local Match for Arp Funds. the Grant Provides Funding for Operations of Fixed-route Transit Services (mpo Id: MST034M) Through 12/31/24. Arp Funds Will Not Be Used to Overlap Cares Act or Crrsaa Funding. Intended Beneficiaries / Subrecipient Activities: MST Is a Public Transit Agency That Provides Fixed-route Demand Response and Special Seasonal Transit Service to a 295-SQUARE Mile Area of Monterey County Santa Cruz County Santa Clara County and San Luis Obispo County. From San Jose to Paso Robles MST Operates Service That Extends 1/5 the Length of the Entire State of California. MST Operates More Than 60 Fixed Routes and Serves a Population of Approximately 435594 Based Upon the Area Within a Mile of Established Routes Within the County. in Fy 2019 MST Carried Over 4272000 Passengers and Operated Over 4684000 Service Miles on Fixed Route. MSTS Fixed Route Budget for Fy 19 Was Over $42 Million. of That Amount Approximately 64% Comes From State and Local Funds. Federal Sources Fund 19% of the Operating Budget. Another 16% of the Operating Budget Is Generated From Fares. the Remaining 1% of the Operating Budget Is Comprised of Other Funding Sources. the Recipient Agrees That If It Receives Federal Funding From the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or Through a Pass-through Entity Through the Robert T.
