Monterey-salinas Transit (MST) Is Requesting Federal Funds in the Amount of $6790606 From the Following Uzas: Salinas Uza (62580) Will Fund $3503420SEASIDE-MONTEREY Uza (61930) Will Fund $3287186 the Project Would Have a Start Date of July 1 2020 and an End Date of June 30 2022.THIS Application Does Not Include Funds for Research And/or Development Activities.indirect Costs Will Not Be Applied to This Application and Its Scope of Work.the Funds Would Be Used for Fixed Route Service Operating From July 1 2020 Through June 30 2022. MSTS Fixed Route Fleet Is Comprised of Over 100 Full Sizes Buses That Include 35-FOOT and 40-FOOT Suburban Coaches 45-FOOT Commuter Coaches 28-FOOT Trolley Style Buses and 23-FOOT Medium Buses.the Local Match Is Comprised of State of California Transportation Development Act (TDA) Funds and Passenger Fares.the Grant Provides Funding for the Operations of Fixed-route Transit Services (mpo Id: MST034M) for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30 2021.MST Is a Public Transit Agency That Provides Fixed-route Demand Response and Special Seasonal Transit Service to a 295-SQUARE Mile Area of Monterey County Santa Cruz County Santa Clara County and San Luis Obispo County. From San Jose to Paso Robles MST Operates Service That Extends 1/5 the Length of the Entire State of California. MST Operates More Than 60 Fixed Routes and Serves a Population of Approximately 435594 Based Upon the Area Within a Mile of Established Routes Within the County. in Fy 2019 MST Carried Over 4272000 Passengers and Operated Over 4684000 Service Miles on Fixed Route. MSTS Fixed Route Budget for Fy 19 Was Over $42 Million. of That Amount Approximately 64% Comes From State and Local Funds. Federal Sources Fund 19% of the Operating Budget.
