The Purpose of This Agreement Is to Provide Support for the Published Strengthening Organic Enforcement (SOE) Rule That Will Be Enforced Beginning in March 2024. the National Organic Program (NOP) Works Within a Public-private Partnership Framework, Where Accredited Certifying Agents Certify Organic Operations to the Organic Regulations. Due to Increasing Complexity and Global Scale of the Organic Market, Vulnerabilities Have Been Exposed in the Organic Supply Chain. This Initiative Will Help Soe Close These Gaps by Enhancing Oversight, Thus Allowing Stakeholders to Consistently Apply the Organic Standards in All Parts of the Industry. the Organic Trade Association (ota), in Collaboration With Nop, Will Work Together to Elucidate the Complexities of Soe to Facilitate a Seamless Transition for Stakeholders and Provide Actionable, Practical Guidance to the Industry. Key Activities for This Agreement Will Include Nop Representation at Stakeholder Events, the Development of the Organic Regulation Guideline Program, and Quarterly Progress Reports.
