The Nykwawtakwahshek Tuscarora Language Program (NTLP) Is a Group of Dedicated Language Advocates Whose Mission Is to Revive a Tuscarora Speaking Community Amongst the Families of the Tuscarora Nation, Re-establish Oral Fluency of the Tuscarora Language, and Ultimately Create Tuscarora First-language Speakers. the NTLP Has Created the Tuscarora Community Language Project: Extending the Rafters (project) to Further This Mission. the Project Goal Is to Increase the Number of Fluent Instructors and Skilled Language Users in the Tuscarora Community, Providing Personnel for Current and Future Positions and Promoting Language Cohesion. We Will Accomplish This Goal by Completing Three Objectives.objective 1: by the End of Month 36, the Tuscarora Community Language Project: Extending the Rafters, Will Increase Its Capacity to Administer Various Language Programs by Training 7 Adult Language Instructors in the Second Year of the Two-year Language Immersion Program.objective 2:BY the End of Month 36, the Tuscarora Community Language Project: Extending the Rafters, Will Have Operated a Full 2-YEAR Adult Immersion Language Program, Bringing 7 Adult Learners to an Advanced Level of Fluency, Creating Skilled Language Users Capable of Working Within the Community.objective 3:BY the End of Month 36, the Tuscarora Community Language Project: Extending the Rafters, Will Facilitate the Ntlps Accreditation to Provide Up to 12 College Credit Hours to Students by the National College Credit Recommendation Service (nccrs).
