Description:this Agreement Provides Funding to the Nebraska State Fire Marshal (NSFM). Specifically, the Recipient Provides Funding for the State's Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Prevention Program, Which Includes Leak Detection, Prevention, and Related Enforcement Activities. the Main Objectives of the Lust Prevention Program Include Encouraging Owners and Operators to Properly Operate and Maintain Their Usts, Ensuring Owners and Operators Monitor Usts in Accordance With Regulations, and Developing the State Program to Operate in Lieu of the Federal Program. Activities:lust Prevention Programs Include Inspections and Other Enforcement Related Activities, Operator Training, Secondary Containment Support Activities, Delivery Prohibition Activities, and Public Reporting Requirements. Grant Funds From This Agreement Will Be Utilized to Develop, Implement and Maintain Their Federally Approved Underground Storage Tank (UST) Leak Prevention Program and to Support Related Activities. the Specific Activities, Milestones, Deliverables, Outputs and Outcomes Are Detailed in Their Attached Workplan and Will Be Reported on in Their Semi-annual Reports. These Include Training, Database Adjustments, Maintaining Staffing, Tracking Ust Installation, Closures, Tracking Operator Permits, Performing/tracking Compliance Inspections, Performing Compliance Assistance, Enforcement Activities and Completing Programmatic Reporting. the Direct Beneficiaries Are the Residents of the Nebraska. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Reviewing Inspection Documentation and Timely Grant Reporting. the Expected Outcome of This Cooperative Agreement Is the Number of Inspections Completed of the Tanks in the State of Nebraska. They Will Also Include Reduction of Petroleum and Hazardous Substance Releases and Completed Tank Inspections. the Primary and Direct Beneficiaries Are the NSFM Ust Program and Nebraska's Residents.
