Description:this Agreement Provides Assistance to the State of Nebraska's Underground Storage Tank Program in Leak Detection, Prevention, and Related Enforcement. Regulate to Reduce Hazardous Releases and Improve Implementation, Installation, and Operation. Grant Funds From This Agreement Will Be Utilized to Develop, Implement and Maintain Their Federally Approved Underground Storage Tank (UST) Leak Prevention Program and to Support Related Activities. Activities Will Primarily Be the Inspection, Oversight of a Third-party Inspector, Outreach and Training for Owners and Operators and Enforcement Against Owners and Operators of Ust Sites. the Beneficiaries Will Be the People of the State of Nebraska. Activities:activities Will Primarily Be the Inspection, Oversight of a Third-party Inspector, Outreach and Training for Owners and Operators and Enforcement Against Owners and Operators of Ust Sites. the Objectives of This Program Include: (1) Encouraging Owners and Operators to Properly Operate and Maintain Their Underground Storage Tanks; (2) Ensuring Owners and Operators Monitor Underground Storage Tanks in Accordance With the Regulations; and (3) Developing the State Program to Operate in Lieu of the Federal Program. These Objectives Protect the Environment by Preventing Petroleum and Hazardous Substance Releases. the Primary and Direct Beneficiaries Are Nebraska's Residents.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:deliverables Will Primarily Be Reviewed Inspection Documents, and All Required Grant-specific Reporting. the Outcomes Will Be a Reduction in the Number of Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Sites and Protection of Human Health and the Environment. the Beneficiaries Will Be the People of the State of Nebraska.
