Description:this Agreement Will Provide Financial Assistance to the Recipient for the Implementation of Its Program to Ensure That Underground Sources of Drinking Water Are Protected From Endangering Injection Activities, in Which Treated Waste Water Is Injected Into the Ground Between Impermeable Layers of Rock Formation. the Program Will Protect Public Health From the Risk of Exposure to Regulated and Emerging Contaminants in Drinking and Source Waters by Improving the Reliability, Accessibility, and Resilience of the Nation's Water Infrastructure to Reduce the Impacts of Climate Change, Structural Deterioration, and Cyber Threats. the Uic Program Regulates to Prevent Waste of Hydrocarbons and Protect Correlative Rights.activities:the Activities to Be Performed Include the Development and Maintenance of Inventories of Injection Systems; the Development and Maintenance of Databases Housing Compliance Information on Underground Injection Well Activities; the Implementation of Permitting Activities; and the Implementation of Enforcement Programs. the Core Program Activities Include: Permitting, Maintenance of the Uic Inventory, Inspection, Compliance Monitoring, Mechanical Integrity Testing and Maintenance of Regulatory Authority, Enforcement and Reporting.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Outcome Is That Underground Sources of Drinking Water Are Protected From Underground Injection Activities. the Expected Outcomes Include a Successful Reduction in Both Contamination Risks and Induced Seismic Activity, Highlighting the Program's Role in Maintaining Safe and Sustainable Groundwater Resources. Through Rigorous Regulatory Enforcement, Monitoring, and Community Engagement, the Program Ensured Compliance With the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Associated Federal Regulations, Contributing to the Long-term Sustainability and Safety of Underground Source of Drinking Water (usdws). Deliverables: Submit Class Ii Well Specific Data to the Uic National Database, Submit 7520 Reports for Class Ii Wells, Submit Forms 7520-2A, 2B and 3, 7520-1, 2A, 2B and 3, 7520-4 If Needed, Annual Program Report, Updated Inventory Summary, Reporting the Number and Percent of Class Ii Wells That Have Lost Mechanical Integrity and Are Returned to Compliance Within 180 Days, Report Volume of CO2 Sequestered Through Injection and Report Number of Permit Decision During Reporting Period That Result in CO2 Sequestration Through Injection the Intended Beneficiaries Include Citizens of Kansas.
