Description:this Action Provides Funding in the Amount of $199,999 to Clemson University to Their Continuing Pesticide Environmental Programs While Giving It Greater Flexibility to Address Its Highest Environmental Priorities, Improve Environmental Performance, Achieve Administrative Savings and Strengthen the Partnership Between the Clemson University and Environmental Protection Agency (epa). Activities:this Agreement Funds Statewide Programs to: Provide a Comprehensive Program of Registration, Labeling, Training, Certification, Inspections and Enforcement That Will Prevent Unnecessary Exposure to Humans and the Land and Water by Ensuring That Pesticides Are Used and Disposed of in the Manner Specified on Each Product.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:inspections and Enforcement Will Deter Non-compliance With Product Requirements. Furthermore, Workers Themselves Will Be Protected From Workplace Exposure Through Implementation of Training and Certification Programs and the Use of Inspections and Enforcement. Pollinators and Endangered Species Will Be Protected From Pesticide Exposure Through Outreach and Compliance Activities. Anticipated Deliverables: Over 20,000 Hours of Inspections; Ongoing Certification and Training of Over 20,000 Certified Applicators; All Other Project Deliverables, as Determined by the Fifra Cooperative Agreement Guidance and the Mutually Agreed Upon Workplan; Mid-year and End-of-year Reports. Intended Beneficiaries: Anticipated Beneficiaries Are the Residents of the State of South Carolina.
