Description:this Action Provides a Total of $650,000 in Federal Funding ($618,000 for Base and $32,000 for Monitoring) Fully Funding This Award. This Agreement Provides Funding to Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin to Carry Out Its Program to Maintain, Protect, and Improve the Water Quality of Its Rivers, Lakes, Streams, Groundwater, and Other Waterbodies. the Environmental Benefits of This Program Include Preventing Degradation of Unimpaired Waterbodies and Reducing the Number of Impaired Waterbodies in the State. Activities:activities Include Grant Management, Adherence to Icprb QMP, Participation in and Contributions to Inter-agency Initiatives, Technical Memos, Operational Models, Technical Studies, and Educational Resources. There Are Seven Major Tasks That Icprb Will Be Supporting Including 1) Encourage Coordination and Leadership to Address Potomac River Issues; 2) Integrate Water Quality and Safe Drinking Water Programs; 3) Assist Potomac Jurisdictions' Monitoring Strategies; 4) Evaluate Potomac River Ecosystem Health; 5) Provide TMDL Support for Basin States; 6) Promote Stakeholder Involvement and 7) Disseminate Information on Land-water Nexussubrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Quarterly Progress Reports to the Icprb Commission and Semi-annual Progress Reports to Epa Region 3, Memo of Activities, Updated WQ Data Inventory Contents, Data Analysis and Products, as Requested, Tech Memos, Collaboration and Understanding of Potomac Tailwater and Freshwater Mussels, Online Educational Resources North Branch Stakeholder Meeting, Workshop, And/or Multiagency Work Group, and Updated Online Data Visualization and Inclusion of Delaware in the Prioritization Layer. the Expected Outcomes Include Enhanced Interstate Management for Water Quality Restoration and Protection, Increased Knowledge of Key Biological Populations in the Potomac Mainstem, Enhanced Proficiency in Spill Response, Enhanced Assessments of Aquatic Ecosystem Health, Improved Tools for TMDL Development, a Public That Is More Informed About and Actively Engaged in Protecting the Potomac Basin's Water Resources, and Improved Protection of Drinking Water Sources. Direct Beneficiaries of This Assistance Agreement Include Residents of the Potomac River Basin.
