The Purpose of This Agreement Is to Provides Funding to the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin (ICPRB) to Carry Out Its Program to Maintain, Protect, and Improve the Water Quality of Its Rivers, Lakes, Streams, Groundwater, and Other Waterbodies. Activities Address Multiple Components in the Monitoring Process to Identify and Remediate Impaired Waters and Include: Coordination and Leadership to Address Potomac River Issues; Integration of Water Quality and Safe Drinking Water Programs; Assistance to Potomac Jurisdictions' Monitoring Strategies; Evaluation of Potomac River Ecosystem Health; Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Support for Basin States; Promoting Stakeholder Involvement. the Environmental Outcomes of This Program Include Preventing the Degradation of Unimpaired Waterbodies and Reducing the Number of Impaired Waterbodies in the State. Federal Funds of $545,175 Are Contingent Upon Availability.
