Description:the Project Includes Installation and Maintenance of Below-ground Pipes and Wells, Consisting of Rehabilitation of Up to One Existing Well, Installation of Upwards of Seven New Wells, and Installation of Approximately 1.65 Miles of 10-INCH to 15-INCH Polyvinyl Chloride Water Pipelines to Connect the Wells to the Existing System. New Below-ground Pipes Will Be Installed via Open Trench Pipe Laying. Maricopa-stanfield Irrigation and Drainage District Is Phasing Out Use of the Santa Rosa Canal to Deliver Groundwater, Which Decreases Run Time on Wells Next to the Canal and Limits the Distribution of Water From Existing Infrastructure. Maricopa Stanfield Irrigation Is Drilling New Wells in New Locations to Compensate for Not Being Able to Use Wells Along the Santa Rosa Canal for Groundwater Deliveries. This Assistance Agreement Provides Full Federal Funding in the Amount of $2,846,076. Pre-award Costs Are Approved Back to 03/01/2024. See Terms and Conditions. Activities:the Activities to Be Performed Include the Execution and Implementation of a Drinking Water Infrastructure Construction Project. Workplan Activities Consist of: Developing Documents and Responding to Nepa Cross Cutting Authorities, Development of Final Specifications and Bid Package, Drafting the Well Permit Package and Obtaining Necessary Permits Including Well Drilling Permits From the Arizona Department of Water Resources. the Project Team Will Develop an Invitation for Bid Packages That Consists of the Requested Scope of Work, Figures, Schedules, and General Contractual Requirements. the District Will Award the Contract and Provide Authorization to Proceed Project Activities. Actual Construction Activities Will Include Project Staging, Surface and Infrastructure Preparation, Excavation, and Installation of the New Pipeline, Well Drilling Activities, and Well Finishing. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Permitting/design Bid Solicitation for Well Projects and Project Design Plans and Specifications, Construction Bid Solicitation RFP, and Construction Contract; Design Plans and Specifications Will Be Submitted to Epa to Demonstrate Successful Completion of This Task. the Expected Outcomes Include Reducing Groundwater Pumping in the Santa Rosa Canal, Complying With Ak-chin Settlement Agreement and Water Quality Testing, and Production of Ag-quality Water Suitable for Irrigation Purposes. the Intended Beneficiaries Include Customers Receiving Drinking Water From Msidd System and Parties of the Ak-chin Settlement Agreement.
