Description:this Agreement Provides Funding to the San Juan Water District to Implement Its Kokila Reservoir Replacement Project as Directed in the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act. This Assistance Agreement Provides Full Federal Funding in the Amount of $1,250,000. See Terms and Conditions.activities:the Activities to Be Performed Include the Construction of a Reservoir Replacement for the Kokila Reservoir. the Project Will Require Taking the Existing Reservoir Offline and Draining It While the Site Is Regraded to Raise the Bottom Elevation and Accommodate a Fixed-wall Tank. a Contractor Will Be Selected and Federal Funds and Non-federal Match Will Be Used to Construct the Reservoir Replacement. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Construction Progress Reports and Photographic Documentation. the Expected Outcomes Include (1) Implementation of the Project Will Allow SJWD to More Efficiently Manage With Lasting Drought Conditions Within the State by Minimizing Water Waste Due to Contamination, and (2) Water Will Be Saved by Reducing the Likelihood of Leaks Over the Lifespan of the Project and (3) Energy Saving Due to the Ability to Schedule Pumping to Fill the Kokila Reservoir During the Lower Energy Demand Times of the Day. the Intended Beneficiaries Include Thousands of Downstream Businesses and Consumers in the San Juan Water District (SJWD) Retail Area.
