Description:this Agreement Provides Funding Under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to Northern Nevada Public Health, Air Quality Management Division. Specifically, the Recipient Will Purchase and Deploy Air Pollution Sensors Along the I-80/I-580 Interchange to Better Understand Air Pollutant Trends in Disadvantaged Communities Located Near the Site of Concern. This Assistance Agreement Provides Federal Funding in the Amount of $30,000. Activities:the Activities Include Purchasing Four Sensors Monitoring Particulate Matter and Nitrogen Dioxide, and Two Black Carbon Sensors, and Deploying Those Sensors for Two Years at the I-80/I-580 Interchange. the Recipient Will Analyze the Publicly-available Data and Generate a Report on Black Carbon and PM2.5 Trends. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Deployment of Air Quality Sensors In/near a Disadvantaged Community and an Analysis of Air Quality Patterns in That Area. the Expected Outcomes Include an Increased Number of Sensors Deployed in Disadvantaged Communities, Access to Air Quality Data Near the I-80/I-580 Interchange, Increased Public Awareness of Air Quality in the Surrounding Disadvantaged Community Near the Site of Concern, and Better Informed Policy and Decision Making by Local/state Agencies. the Intended Beneficiaries Include the Community in Washoe County Near the I-80/I-580 Interchange.
