Description:this Agreement Provides Funding for the Operation of the Nez Perce Tribe's Continuing Environmental Programs While Giving It Greater Flexibility to Improve Environmental Performance, Achieve Administrative Savings and Strengthen the Partnership Between the Tribe and Epa. This Agreement Will Assist the Tribe in Environmental Monitoring and Sampling for Water Quality and Associated Toxics, Restoring Degraded Riparian Areas Along Jim Brown and Mosquito Creek, and Managing the Tribe's Solid Waste and Recycling Programs. $125,000 in National Tribal Cwa 319 Competitive Funding Awarded Under EPA-OW-OWOW-23-02 and $218,378 in National Wetland Program Development Grant Competitive Funding Awarded Under EPA-OW-OWOW-22-03 Are Obligated as Part of This New Award Funding Action.activities:activities to Be Performed Under This Agreement Include, But Are Not Limited to, Developing Wetland Vegetation Monitoring Protocols, Planting Native Vegetation Along Riparian Corridors, Working With the Tribal Community to Expand Recyling Options, Conducting Watershed Assessment and Analysis, and Developing and Maintaining the Tribe's Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 319 Water Quality Database.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:anticipated Deliverables and Expected Outcomes Associated With This Agreement Include Reducing Nonpoint Source Pollution in the Lolo Creek Headwaters, an Established Accounting Procedure for Integrating Wetland Scores and Ratings to Qualify Functional Gains and Losses, Protecting the Health of the Reservation Population Through Improved Water Quality, and an Improved Understanding of Water Quality Trends, Among Other Outcomes. Intended Beneficiaries of This Grant Are Members of the Tribe.
