Description:the Purpose of This American Rescue Plan Funded Grant Is to Provide Funding to Groundwork Denver So It Will Hire 20 South Commerce City, (CC) and Globeville Elyria and Swansea (GES) Green Team Employees, Educate Them About Local Environmental Justice Issues and Environmental Advocacy and Stewardship, Train Them to Effectively Outreach to and Discuss Energy Efficiency With Residents, and How to Plant and Maintain Trees on Their Property. Youth Will Conduct Door-to-door Outreach, Educating Residents About GGC, Distributing Tip Sheets, and Scheduling Residents to Receive No-cost Energy Audits, Major and Minor Energy Efficiency Upgrades, And/or Trees. Activities:hire CC and Ges Youth and Supervisors; Distribute Pre-season Survey to Youth. Train Youth and Supervisors to Discuss Energy Efficiency With CC and Ges Residents, Install Light Bulbs, Schedule Audits, Conduct Surveys, Plant and Maintain Trees; Create Tip Sheet and Maintenance Guide. Conduct Door-to-door Outreach in Targets: Distribute Tip Sheets, Light Bulbs, and Engage in Environmental Stewardship and Education. Schedule Interested Residents to Receive Energy Audit, Energy Efficiency Upgrades, And/or Trees on Their Property. Plant Trees on Private Property, Educate Residents About Tree Maintenance, and Conduct Resident Pre-survey. Conduct Energy Audits: -educate and Support Residents in Identifying and Pledging to Adopt Energy Saving Behaviors, Collect Pledge, and Conduct Pre-program Resident Surveys. -schedule Residents to Receive Minor and Major Energy Upgrades and Provide Upgrades or Referrals. Conduct Follow Up Maintenance Visit: Review Maintenance Guide; Conduct Post-survey With Residents.
