Description:this Agreement Provides Funding to Putnam County, New York to Implement Its Project to Implement a Riparian and Watershed Ecological Restoration Project as Directed in the 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act. Activities:the Activities to Be Performed Include the Execution and Implementation of a Non-point Source Riparian and Ecological Restoration Project. Workplan Activities Include Restoring Riparian Buffers, Rehabilitating Degraded Wetlands, Reducing Stormwater Runoff and Nutrient Pollution, Eliminating Use of Pesticides, Herbicides, and Fertilizers, and Reintroducing Native Plant Communities. Subrecipient:putnam County Is the Primary Recipient and Will Provide the Entire Award to the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival to Complete the Riparian and Ecological Restoration Project as Directed in the FY22 Consolidated Appropriations Act. Outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include: 1. 98 Acres of Restored Riparian, Wetland, and Watershed Ecosystems, Reversing Decades of Artificial Landscape Degradation. 2. Rehabilitated Stream Corridors and Wetland Areas, Improving Hydrology and Biodiversity. 3. Elimination of Chemical-dependent Land. 4. Stormwater Control and Reduced Runoff. 5. Creation of Sustainable, Publicly Accessible Spaces for Education, Recreation, and Environmental Awareness. the Expected Outcomes Will Include the Restoration of Riparian, Wetlands, and Watersheds in the Hudson River Area. the Intended Beneficiaries Include Residents of Putnam County and the Hudson River Watershed.
