Description:the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Funding Under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Specifically, the Recipient Will Deploy Zero-emissions Port Equipment and Associated Infrastructure at the Port of New York and New Jersey, Thereby Improving Air Quality and Reducing Pollution in Newark, NJ, Elizabeth, NJ, Bayonne, NJ and New York City, Ny and in the Surrounding Area. Activities:the Activities Include the Replacement of Diesel-powered Material Handling Equipment With Battery-electric Equipment, the Installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, the Installation of Shore Power Connections for Marine Vessels, the Replacement of Diesel Engines on a Cement Hauler Barge With Electric Power, a Voucher Incentive Program to Deploy Zero-emissions Material Handling Equipment and Associated Infrastructure, and a Voucher Incentive Program to Deploy Zero-emissions Drayage Trucks.
