Description:the Agreement Provides Funding to Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Specifically, the Recipient Will Continue Its Truck Replacement Program to Reduce Emissions of Diesel Particulate Matter, Nox, and Exposure to Diesel Air Toxics in New Jersey, Including Essex County, Hudson County, Middlesex County, and Union County, and New York County, New York.activities:the Activities Include Panynj Providing Participant Support Costs to Licensed Motor Carriers (LMC) or Independent Owner Operators (IOO) Who Currently Operate at the Port's Marine Terminals. Those Eligible for the Program Will Own Engine Model Year (EMY) 2009 or Older Drayage Trucks, and With the Provided Funds, These Trucks Will Be Scrapped and Replaced With Emy 2017 or Newer Trucks for Continued Goods Movement. Panynj Will Contract for Administrative Support and Oversight for the Program With Its Own Funding. Subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include Replacement and Scrappage of Emy 2009 or Older Trucks With Emy 2017 or Newer Trucks, Effective Outreach to Motor Carriers and Independent Owner Operators Through Messaging, Meetings, and Webinars on Program Benefits and Requirements. the Expected Outcomes Include Reductions in Annual and Remaining Useful Life Emissions, Reduced Exposure to Hazardous Air Pollution, and Improved Ambient Air Quality. the Intended Beneficiaries Include the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Ioos or LMCS Who Own Drayage Trucks and Operate at Panynj Facilities, and Communities Surrounding the Panynj Marine Terminals.
