Under This Cooperative Agreement, Niagara County Will Develop and Implement a Program to Assess Local 'brownfields' Properties, or Properties Whose Expansion, Redevelopment or Reuse May Be Complicated by the Presence of Hazardous Substances. the Community Wide Hazardous Substances Assessment Program Will Target Vacant, Abandoned and Underutilized Commercial and Industrial Sites to Encourage Redevelopment. Niagara County Will Select and Assess Sites Believed to Be Contaminated Specifically With Hazardous Substances Throughout the City. Niagara County Will Involve Residents and Other Stakeholders Surrounding the Sites by Holding Community Meetings and Sharing Information.
