Description:this Agreement Provides Funding to the State of New York Department of Health (NYSDOH) to Assist an Underserved Community to Meet and Comply With Sdwa Drinking Water Regulations. the Proposed Project Activities Include Includes Creation of the New Town of Bethany Water District No. 5 to Serve Residents and Some Commercial Properties That Are Currently Served by Private Wells With Insufficient Quantity and Quality Water. the New Water District Will Receive Water From the Monroe County Water Authority (mcwa). Direct Beneficiaries of This Assistance Agreement Include Residents of New York. Activities:the Activities Include Creating the New Town Water District to Serve Residents and Some Commercial Properties That Are Currently Served by Private Wells With Insufficient Quantity and Quality Water. After the New Water District Is Completed, the Residents Will Have a Safe and Reliable Potable Water Supply, and the Associated Health Risks Due to the Quality and Quantity of Groundwater Will Be Eliminated. Subrecipient:the Proposed Project Includes Creation of the New Town Water District to Serve Residents and Some Commercial Properties That Are Currently Served by Private Wells With Insufficient Quantity and Quality Water. the New Water District Will Receive Water From the Monroe County Water Authority (mcwa).this Activity Includes the Installation of Approximately 152,000 Linear Feet of 8 Inch and 12 Inch Water Mains Along With Two Booster Pump Stations and Two Water Storage Tanks. the Water District Will Serve Approximately 300 to 350 Equivalent Dwelling Units (EDUS) Along With Some Commercial Facilities Including Two Dairy Farms and a Campground.outcomes:anticipated Deliverables and Expected Outcomes Include, Reducing the Number of Public Water Systems Out of Compliance With Health-based Standards in Small and Disadvantaged Communities, Improving the Performance of Drinking Water Treatment Plants in Small and Disadvantaged Communities; and Assuring That Public Water Systems in Small and Disadvantaged Communities Provide the Constituency of the Community With Safe Drinking Water. the Intended Beneficiaries Include Residents of the Town of Bethany.
