Business Expansion to Create 30 Quality Manufacturing Jobs in Underserved Rural Community of Libby, MT, of Which 75% Will Be Filled by Low-income Individuals. - Montana Community Development Corporation (MOFI) Will Use $800,000 in Ced Funds to Make a Loan to Nomad GCS, a Growing Manufacturing Business, in Libby, Montana. Nomad GCS Will Use the Funds to Purchase Equipment That Addresses Its Current Production Inefficiencies and Expand Operations. Mofi Will Also Use Ced Funds for Project Management and Coordination With Local Workforce and Social Service Partners, Including the Local Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Job Center and Community College. the Expansion Will Create Manufacturing Jobs in Welding and Fabrication, Electrical and Computer Numerical Control Machining. the Project Will Recruit Residents With Low Income From Libby and Surrounding Areas, Offering Quality Manufacturing Jobs With Living Wages, Benefits, and Advancement Opportunities. Employees Hired Into the Jobs Will Be Connected to Wraparound Services Including Financial Literacy and Counseling to Support Long-term Employment Success. the Project Will Create 30 New Jobs, 23 of Which Will Be Filled by Individuals With Low Income.
