Description:this Agreement Provides Funding From the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to Nenana Native Association. Epa's Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) Grants for Tribes and Intertribal Consortia Will Fund Projects That Focus on Encouraging Environmentally Sound Post-consumer Materials Management, Fund Projects That Will Result in a Decrease in the Generation of Municipal Solid Waste And/or an Increase in the Diversion of Municipal Solid Waste From Landfills and Incineration; And/or Fund Projects That Provide or Expand Access to Source Reduction, Reuse, Recycling, Backhaul, Anaerobic Digestion, and Composting for Tribes and Tribal Members of Intertribal Consortia. the Purpose of This Award Is to Enhance the Nenana Native Association's Efforts to Meet the Swifr Grants Elements. Nenana Native Association Will Purchase Waste Management Equipment to Collect and Remove Solid Waste and Transport It to an Appropriate Facility.activities:the Activities to Be Performed Are the Purchase and Acquisition of a Forklift, Landing Craft, Truck and Trailer, Three 40' Roll-off Containers for Trash and Recycling Collection, a Roll-off Trash Truck, and a Telehandler. the Project Will Also Cover Maintenance of This Equipment Throughout the Life of the Grant.subrecipient:no Subawards Are Included in This Assistance Agreement.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include the Acquisition of the Pieces of Equipment That Are Listed in the Activities, and the Usage of Them for Solid Waste Collection and Removal Operations. the Expected Outcomes Include Increased Solid Waste and Recyclables Collected and Transported; 6 Part-time Jobs Created; and Reduced Environmental Contamination From Illegal Dumping. the Intended Beneficiaries Include Members of the Nenana Native Association, a Federally-recognized Tribe in Rural Alaska.
