We Are Responding in the Broadest Sense to the Lars Goal Which Is Stated in the Roses Solicitation as to Maximize the Science Derived From Planetary Sample-return Missions. Genesis Is One of the Target Sample-return Missions. We Propose to Perform Critical Sample Analyses and to Utilize These Measurements to Characterize Solar-wind Fractionation. We Believe It Is Most Prudent to Use These Measurements in Combination With Other Data Available to Study Solar-wind Fractionation. by This Means We Can Place All Genesis Sample Measurements in Their Proper Context in Which Solar Isotopic and Elemental Abundances Can Be Determined (see Objectives Box and Discussion Above). Analysis of Genesis Materials Is Obvious But It Is Also Critical to Deal With All Factors Which Might Affect the Ability to Identify Genesis Results With Isotopic and Elemental Composition of the Solar Nebula. to the Extent That This Work Helps Us Understand and Correct for Solar-wind Fractionation It Is of the Highest Priority Among Genesis Work Because It Ties All Solar Wind Composition Measurements to Actual Solar and Solar-nebula Compositions.
