The Oceanography Society Proposes to Publish a Special Issue of Oceanography on Salinity Processes in the Upper-ocean Regional Study 2 in June 2019. in Addition to Documenting Research Supporting a Nasa Experiment Important to Physical Oceanography an Additional Principal Goal of Oceanography Is to Foster Cross-disciplinary Understanding and Interaction Through Publishing Special Issues Such as This. Special Issues Enable Coverage of a Single Theme From Many Different Angles Articles Are Written in Language That Is Accessible to a Broad Scientific Audience and Also Scientifically Literate Non-specialists. in This Way Further Discussion and Discovery Among Scientists Are Enabled and Information Can Be Easily Extracted and Used by Decision Makers. the Oceanography Editor DR. Ellen Kappel Will Work With the Guest Editors DRS. Eric Lindstrom James Edson Julian Shanze and Andrey Shcherbina to Produce This Special Issue. the Guest Editors Will Assist in Formulating the Table of Contents Including Titles and Authorship for Articles and Obtain at Least Two Peer Reviews of Each Manuscript. the Oceanography Editor and Assistant Editor Will Work With Authors to Finalize Text Assuring Readability and Accuracy. the Oceanography Designer Will Check All Graphics for Quality Lay Out Each Article in the Design Software Produce Proofs for Authors and Input Any Final Corrections. the Designer Who Is Also the Oceanography Society Webmaster Will Post Low-resolution PDFS of Each Article on the Tos Website Within a Week of Submission of the Hard Copy Files to the Printer. Hard Copies of the Magazine Are Mailed to Tos Membership Worldwide as Well as to the Libraries at Major Oceanographic Institutions. Full Digital Versions (PDF Download Browser Ipad Android Kindle) Are Available to Tos Members for Free Through Advanced Publishing and Can Be Purchased by Any Other Interested Party.
